Living Yoga

One of the most fullfilling parts of my job is being able to work with truly inspiring non-profit organizations here in Portland.  This last weekend I was able to be a part of a fund raising event for Living Yoga.  For those of you who are not familiar with living yoga, I would highly suggest you check out their website, and see what great work they are doing.  Here is how they describe themselves:

"Living Yoga brings the study and practice of yoga to youth and adults who are behind bars or in drug and alcohol treatment programs. Our goal is to help them build the tools they need to lead better lives. For many people, the practice of yoga–the emphasis on being in the moment, the development of mental and physical strength, the simple act of being part of a positive community–is exactly what they need to change bad habits and develop healthier, more productive outlooks."

It was a blast to hang out at the Yoga Pearl with some wonderful Portland Yogis, and to support such a wonderful organization.

Happy Wednesday all!
