Layers of life

I have always loved the idea of people blending into nature.  Many of my clients have observed that in most of my work I bring people in close contact with the nature around them. Almost as if mother nature is embracing them.  

Below is a double exposure concept I have been playing with for the past few months.  A further exploration of bringing our lives and nature into intimate spaces together.

Painted Hill

Ms. Cluff, Ms. Cullen, & Ms. Limon.

Shira has been runny past and painting this colorful hill for years, so it was only fitting that we did her family photos there when I was down in Ashland last month.  It required some barbed wire fence hopping, hill climbing, and picking out briers form our clothes for days afterwards, but it was worth it.

Good Kin and chocolate cake

During one of my trips down South to Southern Oregon, I recently got to spend an afternoon with some of my favorite folk, the Clasons.  For those who know the Clasons, you understand what I mean when I say that they are the highest quality of kin one could hope to spend a warm afternoon with.

I got to lounge in the Southern Oregon sun, surrounded by Leslie's apple tress, old friends, nostalgic chocolate cake, french blue goblets, and the next generation of little Clason kin.
